Transform This

So, tonight/last night my sister and I took all the kids to watch the second Transformers movie. I love my babies, but I don't think I could take them to the movies again, unless it was a movie that I didn't care about. Devon and Aidan sat next to me and they talked the whole movie, then all four of them had to leave to go "pee", I swear 11 times! *smiling* I just can't do it. :)

The movie was long, thought it could have been a little shorter, only because they drew it out too long. It was good, nonetheless. I probably could have waited for it to come out on DVD. I got to see a preview for New Moon, I'm so freaking excited! *smiling*

After the movie, I went over to visit with Marisela for a bit. That was fun. Then it got late and I came home. Called and talked to Jason on the way and then for a bit when I reached my destination. Poor baby has a lot to think about, with his career. I hope things work out and we are together for a very long time, if not till death, but I told him not to base any decisions off of me, us. It's not supposed to sound bad, just real. *smiling* If you hadn't got to meet him yet, I'm sure that you will soon. He's different than the guys that I usually go for, but so much in a better way. He is about a year to a few months younger than I, yeah if you know me, then you know how that is, but I'm cool with it. He's much more mature than I! LOL It's a good thing. Our first date was awesome, not typical at all! He took me to my favorite restaurant, The Olive Garden (sorry again Marisela) and then we went and did the canal ride thingy down in Brick Town. Then we went back to his place and talked, had some drinks, and played some card and dice cames. It was really awesome. We then snuggled and talked some more and then finally fell asleep! It was awesome. NO, contrary to what you may think or believe, we hadn't had sex yet. We are holding off and when it happens, it will happen. If you cut the sex part out, it really makes it easier to get to know someone, I think. I'm going on two years now of non sex activities, so I'm nervous about all that too! LOL *smiling*

What else is there to tell you about? I guess that I'm going to jet for now, I should have a busy day tomorrow/today, but I keep putting things off! LOL

TAKEN to the MALL in a GRAN TORINO

Paul Blart: Mall Cop, pretty decent funny movie. I may be a little crazy, but there's something...sexy about Kevin James (King of Queens). *smiling* I'm serious. May be funny guys are sexy or it's the fact that I'm going on two frustrating years now! *smiling* It's a cute movie, worth the view. Although, there were times in the movie where I was just annoyed and thought it was just stupid. That could be the fact too that everyone is starting to get on my nerves and I just don't feel like putting up with dumb asses. I think you should just watch it.

Now, Gran Torino, totally not what I expect, it was better. I mean, it was your typically neighborhood teenager heading down a bad path, cliche, till his older, hard ass of a neighbor takes him under his wing, sort to speak. The ending was different than what I was expecting. I think it's worth the view for sure.


Talking about a heartbreaking movie, TAKEN, is definitely worth the view. It had it's sad moments and it's heroic moments. Liam Neeson did an awesome job portraying a father protecting his daughter. The scenario they were in, I couldn't even imagine, but if it were one of my nephews or niece, you can bet that I'd do anything I could, just as he did. It's worth the view, and if you're a parent may be it will help you open your eyes or keep your eyes open, knowing that the world isn't all that friendly.

Taking Chance

Taking Chance is the remarkable true story of one soldier's (Marine) death in battle, another soldier's (Marine) journey of discovery and a nation's reverence and gratitude toward its war dead. After hearing of the heroic death of a young Marine in Iraq, veteran officer Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl (Kevin Bacon) volunteers to escort the remains of Lance Corporal Chance Phelps back to his hometown in Wyoming. Now, on a trip across America's heartland, Strobl will find himself on an unexpectedly emotional sojourn into the soul of a country mourning not only Phelps, but all of our country's fallen heroes.

Such a sad and great movie. It's for sure worth the view. I would have been balling like a big baby if my roommate wasn't in the room! It should make you have more respect for the service men and women who fight for you.

I put Marine in ()'s because the movie is about a Marine. Marine's are Marines, Army are Soldiers, Navy are Saliors, and the Air Force are Airmen, and trust me, there's a difference, but they are all service men and women.

Been Going On

I've been getting my X-Men Evolution on. It's been really cool watching. I remember watching them Saturday mornings! I laughed and enjoyed myself with them.

Also, I've still been getting the site ready to ship off, so that I can begin my journey back home. I'm so ready. I'm more ready than I thought I would be. I don't think I'm going to be back in time for the Family Reunion that's Father's Day weekend, but I'm for sure going to try.

Still checking my empty e-mail boxes. It's all good though. I'm for sure not going out of my way for anyone once I return.

The heat is picking up quick here. I spend a large part of my day down in the connex, which is like a freaking oven out here! It's something that must be done though.

Did I mention that I was ready to get back home?

My cousin, Heather, has been doing some amazing photography, which I hope to share with you here, once I can load some of her pics on here. They are freaking awesome. She uses me for feed back and I hope to use her someday for feed back too, on our photography.
Yes I still like my cartoons, but I was sadden with this, because it was only three episodes of apparently a few more. :(

VALKYRIE, is a pretty awesome movie, but we all know how it turns out. It's based on a true story about an assassination attempt on Hitler. It's for sure worth the view.

Geisha Assassin

Directed by Go Ohara (the action director of Death Trances), Geisha Assassin follows the story of Kotono (newcomer Minami Tsukui), a beautiful geisha who inherits a secretly-guarded sword and uses it to pursue Hyoe, the man who killed her father. Throughout her quest to face-off against Hyoe, Kotono battles Japan's most notorious female ninjas and assassins only to learn a hidden secret.

All that I can say is, ROTFLMAO! I think you lose IQ points after watching this movie. It's so not worth watching. It's like if you and I were awesome at filming and we made a movie. The fights were so lame, the fake blood! LOL It's not even worth a watch if you are the boredest you've ever been! LOL

Martian Child, The Bone Snatcher, & Blind Dating

John Cusack stars in this "inspirational and uplifting journey" (Cynitha Wickenkamp, Starz Entertainment) as a lonely science-fiction writer who adopts a boy who claims to be from Mars. With the help of his quirky friend (Amanda Peet) and his sister (Joan Cusack), this new father discovers that being a parent means anything is possible.

Very cute movie, well worth the watch.
When scientist Dr. Zack Straker unearths the skinned bodies of three missing prospectors, Zack discovers that he and his team are being hunted by millions of creatures that have united into one unstoppable killing machine. As darkness descends, the ground they stand on becomes a living carpet, capable of devouring their flesh with every step. Hell has been unleashed. With no clues to investigate the massacre, Zack must find a way to stop them before it's too late.

A "B" movie and if I were you, I wouldn't waste the money on it. If anything, watch it on tv one night when you have NOTHING else going on or to.
This "hysterically funny" (Hollywood Life) comedy starring Chris Pine (Just My Luck) as a handsome young blind man on a sexual quest is "a deft blend of heart and humor" (Houston Chronicle). Also starring Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie 1&2) and Jane Seymour (Wedding Crashers), Blind Dating will leave you seeing love and life in a totally different way!

Danny (Pine) is smart, handsome, popular, and blind...and not just physically: He also can't see how wild women are for him! Even his sexy therapist (Seymour) can't keep her clothes on around Danny! After a series of painful "blind dates" set up by his brother (Thomas), Danny falls for a young Indian woman named Leeza (Anjali Jay), and finally everything seems picture perfect. But when cultures clash, and Leeza reveals that she's been promised to someone else, Danny must prove to her that there's more to love than meets the eye!

Very cute and worth the watch. Plus, Chris Pine is hot, right? There are some "sad" moments, but the funny ones top them!

Body of Lies

The CIA's hunt is on for the mastermind of a wave of terrorist attacks. Roger Ferris is the agency's man on the ground, moving from place to place, scrambling to stay ahead of ever-shifting events. An eye in the sky - a satellite link - watches Ferris. At the other end of that real-time link is the CIA's Ed Hoffman, strategizing events from thousands of miles away. And as Ferris nears the target, he discovers trust can be just as dangerous as it is necessary for the survival.

Leonardo DiCaprio (as Ferris) and Russell Crowe (as Hoffman) star in Body of Lies, adapted by William Monahan (The Departed) from the David Ignatius novel. Ridley Scott (American Gangster, Black Hawk Down) directs this impactful tale, orchestrating exciting action sequences and plunging viewers into a bold spy thriller for our time.

As you can imagine, I just watched it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I'm not a Russell Crowe fan, so that didn't help either. :)

Religulous

In this new comedy from director Larry Charles (Borat, "Seinfeld"), comedian and TV host Bill Maher, ("Real Time with Bill Maher," "Politically Incorrect") takes a pilgrimage across the the globe on a mind-opening journey into the ultimate taboo: questioning religion. Meeting the high and low from different religions, Maher simply asks questions, like "Why is faith good?" "Why doesn't an all-powerful God speak to us directly?" and "How can otherwise rational people believe in a talking snake?" For anyone who's even a little spiritually curious, this divine entertainment will deepen your faith...in comedy!

It's funny, hits a lot of points and worth the view! I, being agnostic, didn't have a problem with the movie. Like I said, I thought it was freaking funny!

Star Date 9175

Tonight, my roommate, Jay and I are going to the MWR center to watch a special screening of the new Star Trek movie. Drinks and snacks will be provided! LOLWe have already seen it though. The copy that we watch was sketchy and in widescreen, but we could only see fullscreen. So, the sides were cut off, but we still watched it! LOL

I just watched this one. It was just something to watch. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It just helped kill about an hour and a half of my time here in Iraq.

I just finished watching it and it was pretty amazing. I told you all that I do here is just watch movies! :) It's such a sad movie too. It's definitaly worth the watch.

The Uninvited

I just got finished watching this movie and MAN! Awesome twist and ending!

From the producers of The Ring and Disturbia comes a nail-biting thriller, The Uninvited. Following the suspicious death of their mother, sisters Anna and Alex become entangled in a deadly battle of wills when their father becomes engaged to Rachel, their mother's former caretaker. As the two sisters investigate Rachel's questionable past, they are confronted with ghostly visions, terrifying nightmares and deadly consequences. And So It Shall Begin

I signed up for this blog about a week ago now, and this is the first time for me to actually use. At first I wasn't for sure what to put on here. I recently said, "Fuck It." So, here it is.

First, I just got finished watching the movie Flirting With Forty. Jackie (Heather Locklear, TV's "Spin City") is a recently divorced mother of two vacationing alone in Hawaii for her 40th birthday. Against her better judgment, she allows the hunky, much younger, resident surf instructor (Robert Buckley, TV's "Lipstick Jungle") to sweep her off her feet. What begins as a scorching one-night stand quickly turns into love as she jets off to Hawaii every chance she gets. But with kids, a disapproving ex-husband and friends, and an ocean separating them, real love becomes real tricky. When Jackie loses her balance, it takes her lover to teach her how to get back on the board before she misses the one wave that will change her life. Based on the best-selling novel by Jane Porter.

It's pretty much the "white" version of "How Stella Got Her Groove Back". LOL I don't know how else to describe it. I did like it. I was rooting for her the whole time. While watching it, I couldn't help but think that there was still hope out there yet. Age ain't nothing but a number. I stand by that quote. There's no way I feel my age or even act it for that matter.

Like I said at the top, under my picture, this is a place for me to just empty my head. Nothing here is meant to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm comfortable with this. Don't really care who reads it and who doesn't. I will tell people about it, but that's about it. *smiling* If you could read minds, here is what would be on mine. I'm not going to worry about doing one entry each day either, I'm just going to post whenever I feel the urge.
